Specialized Procedures:

All of the following specialized procedures are done at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital and require an appointment.

Mammography (Diagnostic and Screening):
Moose Jaw is a satellite of the Screening Program for Breast Cancer, which is a self-referred program.  Appointments for screening mammography are made for our facility by the booking clerks in Regina, and can be made by calling the toll-free number 1-800-667-0017.  Results from your screening mammogram are sent to both you and your family physician.  Diagnostic mammography is ordered by your physician, and the results of your exam will be sent directly to him/her.

More information on the SaskCancer Mammography Screening Program.

Ultrasound:
Ultrasound units provide scanning images of abdominal, obstetric, pelvic, small parts, breast and prostate sonography.

Computed Tomography (CT):
CT utilizes x-ray technology and sophisticated computer software to create cross sectional images of the body.

Fluoroscopy:
Fluoroscopy incorporates “real-time” imaging to give a live action view of various body parts.

Specialty Imaging Hours-Appointment Requests can be faxed to 694-0219 (except for Breast Screening) and the patient will be contacted with an appointment time and preparation instructions.
